Navigating your affiliate network: Pepperjam

Program Description

*Pepperjam does not allow you to retroactively change your program description yourself, if you’d like to make adjustments to your program bio you will need to reach out to Allicia Heafner (aheafner@pepperjam.com)

To view your current program description

  1. Login to your PJ account

  2. From the homepage, click on Settings > Program Settings

  3. Scroll down to find your Program Description

Keywords

  1. Go to Settings > Program Settings

  2. Below the logos you’ll see Suggested Keywords, make any relevant changes to your keywords here

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save to confirm your changes before exiting the page

Text links

*A good rule of thumb is to have a text link for each of the following (or more): your homepage, shop all, best sellers, and links to any coupons you’ve set up

  1. After logging into the account, click on the three dots in the bottom left corner of the screen, select “Settings”

  2. After the login page, select “Content” then click on “Ads”

  3. In the top right corner, select “Create Ad” then click on “Text Link”

  4. Enter information into the “Name”, “Link Text”, “Description”, and “Landing Page”

    1. If applicable, use the drop-down menu “Deal” to select whatever promotion is added

    2. If the promotion has not been created yet, click on “Add new deal” to add

    3. If no promotion necessary, leave blank

  5. Click on “Save” at the bottom when finished

Coupon Links

*Note: Coupon links do not need to be actual “coupons” ; they can be evergreen offers like “Free shipping on orders over $50” or “10% off your first order”. You can even set up coupons links to highlight your best sellers!

  1. Go to Creatives > Coupons

  2. Select Add Coupon, or upload in bulk

  3. Give your new coupon a Name

  4. For Promotions select Coupon

  5. Fill in the Coupon Code field

  6. Add the relevant URL for the product/page on your website

  7. Give a Description of the promotion specifying any terms or restrictions

  8. Make any necessary adjustments to the Visibility (to restrict access to certain affiliates) and Status (if the coupon isn’t active yet)

  9. Click Save below to upload your new coupon

Banners/Images

*Make sure banners include branding elements and a call to action. Keep in mind affiliates use these images as their promotional materials without modification so they must be effective ads in and of themselves, not requiring additional design elements or text by the affiliate.

  1. Select Creatives > Banners

  2. You can upload in bulk or click Add Banner to upload individual images and associated links

  3. Give your image a Name such as the product name

  4. Add a Promotion if the image is associated with a coupon or sitewide sale

  5. Enter the Destination URL you want users to be directed to

  6. Upload your new image and Save

Product Feed

*A product feed is a CSV file of your inventory that gets uploaded to your network so affiliates can have a live view of what’s in stock and what they can promote

  1. Go to Settings > Product Feed

  2. Identify your feed type and add the hosted feed URL and specify the delimiter type (tab, comma, pipe) and download

  3. Click Update Feed Settings

Adjusting Commission Rates

  1. From the home page, click on the Publishers drop-down menu

  2. Click on “Manage Publishers” option

  3. From the Affiliate List, search for the affiliate whose commission rate you want to adjust

  4. Click on the cog on the far right-hand side of the page

  5. Click on “Change Term”

  6. Under the drop-down menu “Select term”, select the terms you want this affiliate to utilize

  7. To create a new set of terms, click on Pay drop-down menu

  8. Select “Commission Terms”

  9. Top left-hand corner, select “+Create New Term”

  10. Configure commission terms for the affiliate

  11. Click “Save Term” to complete

  12. Be sure to click on “Confirm” to save your changes before refreshing or leaving the page!
